New Orleans

I am so excited to be off for a super long weekend to celebrate some of our dearest friends getting married in New Orleans! Keep updated on Instagram @navyandorange.

And any pointers are greatly appreciated!

the white pump

As seen on Instagram and Pinterest, I have been on the hunt for the perfect white pump. While the fit of the above shoe and this one are undeniable, I have a hard time shelling out the cash for a trend of white footwear. I have already imagined multiple outfits and functions to wear them to (date nights, the Del Mar races, baby showers, weddings…) but nevertheless, I love a great hunt for a deal. I ended up with these {can't say no a slingback}, which don't quite fit into the Spring Fling rule of under $100, but in my hunt I did find these that are priced at $90 and quite a similar look.

blue and white

I am currently working on a new design project for the home and love looking for inspiration. Currently, I am nine times out of 10, pinning and loving everything blue and white.

fresh start

As seen on Pinterest, I can't get enough white: whether in decor, fashion or flowers, it is currently what I crave. Love this eyelet option and can't resist the price {$79!}. It will pair perfectly with my pristine pumps.

pink & purple

{Pink Ruffle Top // Purple Skinny Pants // Similar White Sandals // Coach Mint Bag, sold-out, similar here for under $90 and lust-worthy option here // Celine Sunglasses // Pink Lipstick in Chatterbox}

When I first spotted this top, I couldn't resist: the hem, the color and the high neckline. The ruffle is beyond feminine and I love that it is short and flirty in the front and long and flowing in the back. I originally bought it to pair with my white skinnies, or black pants, but loved the idea of color blocking for spring.

spring fling: floral dress

The navy & orange spring fling series continues: spring finds for under $100!

Nothing says spring quite like a floral dress. While I have fallen in love with this one and this one, you know my love for a great budget find, making these splurges not quite practical. Shop some of my floral dresses above, all under $100! {This one is my fav!}

I spotted this dress last week and can't stop thinking about it. I think that it would be perfect for Easter, spring cocktail races and well into summer for my favorite: The Del Mar races. I think that they would pair perfectly with these and these {which I also can't stop thinking about!}

While I am looking forward to wearing this in emerald to an upcoming wedding, my favorite type of greenery for this festive day is that which is provided by nature. Hope your day is full of luck!

As seen on my Pinterest and most items that I tweet about, I can't get enough stripes. This shirt is perfect from day to night and all year around. I paired it with my new favorite thing in my closet: my vegan leather pants. Comfortable and chic, vegan appropriate and a fraction of the price of the real thing, how could a vegetarian resist?

spring fling: bright pumps

Today I am kicking off a new series: Spring Fling, where I am going to post about a spring trend and find you a similar item for under a $100. First up: the bright pump. As many of us are itching to wear color, the statement pump can be a great punctuation to any spring outfit. Or they can pull together an otherwise boring outfit of a tee and jeans. And I love this pair in the perfect shade of yellow without being too aggressive {it also comes in fuchsia and a yellow flat}. And all under $91? Yes, please!

statement lips

While every girl can claim a love for lipstick, when I lived in New York, I never left home without it. Either in my still-to-this-day perfect red {in Passion} or in hot pink {in L'exuberante} , I found it to perfectly offset my entire wardrobe of black. While my current career does not lend itself in head to toe black punctuated by the perfect pout, on my days off, or date night, you will rarely find me without it. Below are my perfect shades.

  • Chanel L'exuberante a matte pink, similar to in the picture
  • Nars Satin Lip Pencil in Pop Life a matte red, perfect when layer with Chanel's Passion
  • Nars Satin Lip Pencil in Bolero a matte peach
  • Mac Pink Nouveau a fuchsia for those who don't like fuchsia

shades of blue

{Gap chambray // J.Brand denim // J.Crew flats // Plaid scarf // Saint Laurent navy bag // Ray-Ban sunglasses}

{my brother-in-law was supervising our photo shoot, then decided to jump in!}

{Gap chambray // J.Brand denim // J.Crew flats // Plaid scarf OMG $12!!!// Saint Laurent navy bag // Ray-Ban sunglasses}

As seen on my Instagram and Pinterest, I love a great chambray on denim outfit. Add a plaid scarf, my favorite navy handbag and a day of wine tasting with my husband, my brother-in-law and sister-in-law, and I am anything but blue.

{polka dot skirt here & here}

I have a rare weekend off with no plans! I hope to be running around enjoying some sunshine in skirts and swoon worthy heels!

d'Orsay flats

Budget friendly, all under $100! Click the shoe or scroll the images below.

Splurge worthy. Click the shoe or scroll the images below.

For me, the d'Orsay flat is super spring. I love a great pointed toe and tend to live in my flats. With the ladylike body of a d'Orsay, it is not hard to see why I will be stocking up on these fab shoes for spring.
The first selection is all under $100 {these are my favorite} and the second selection are lust worthy {I know you won't be surprised to find that these and these are my favorites}.

Click directly on the shoe to join me in this spring trend!

stripes, and red, and leopard, oh my!

{ Madewell shirt  on sale! // sold out necklace, similar here // black denim // leopard loafers and love these slip-ons! // similar Louis Vuitton // bracelets and watch Hermes // Celine Sunglasses }

{ Madewell shirt  on sale! // sold out necklace, similar here // black denim // leopard loafers and love these slip-ons! // similar Louis Vuitton // bracelets and watch Hermes // Celine Sunglasses }

I recently wore this to Church, but I loved out it felt and looked so I left it on for brunch, a movie on the couch and then dinner and drinks. You can never underestimate the power of a great black pant. Extra points for this comfy pair of skinnies.
