silk collar tee

So excited to have this classic, wonderfully lady-like piece in my closet.
Navy, collared and under $100

mint jeans and striped peplum

top // jeans // shoes // sunnies // bag {old, but similar here} //
necklace // bracelet // bangles {from India, similar here}

This outfit is me to a T: black accessories, colored denim, stripes and peplum! My favorite part is that it is uber comfy and affordable {top $49, jeans $55}. I am loving the idea of mint for spring {and summer...and fall..} so these comfy skinnies were a no brainer. I love a great stripe and the ladylike silhouette of a peplum, so this top has already made many outings and I am excited for such a great budget friendly find that will work for so many outfits!

Hope you had a great weekend!

still swooning

I'm still totally swooning over my favorite dress of award season and in fashion in some time.

cross body bag

Top Row: sorbet {$48} // pink {$165} // fuchsia {$198}
Second Row: pink & orange {$188} // yellow {$198} // floral {$195}
Bottom Row: mint {$198} // tweed {$195} // lilac {$195}

While it is no secret for my love of a great handbag {as seen here, here and here}, I have been having fun looking for a cross body option for the spring and summer. Normally, when shopping for a bag, I look and research for months, trying to find something with a classic shape, a impeccable quality and something that will be seen as classic and worn for years to come. For my current fun purchase, this is as close as I will get to an "impulse" bag buy. As this piece will be trendy and used often, I wanted something easy on price, and I love that all of the above options are less than $200. I think my inevitable purchase is in the above selection. Do tell, what is your favorite?

While we have limited drapes in our house {a California girl will always choose sunshine}, I do love the look of these photos. The one is our master was one of the first splurges for our house and I love the look of it voluminous and pulled to one side.

tweed and peplum with bootleg denim

Jacket {old, but similar here and budget friendly {$104} here} // top {now 50% off and $29} // similar denim // sunnies // similar bag // necklace {half off!} // lipstick {in Snob}

I wore this outfit recently for date night. Skinnies are part of my uniform, but after this post, I was inspired to pull out the oldest pair of jean in my closet. While the silhouette is modern again, the fit feels custom after years of wear. I am inspired to pick up this pair in a darker wash to give my skinnies a break.

I love holidays. Every. Single. One. I put together these lovely green finds that will be great for this festive weekend, and all year around.  Happy Shopping!

striped decor

While my love for stripes is apparent in my everyday uniform, Pinterest {I have an entire board dedicated to my staple} and recent purchases {hello striped peplum! hello striped jacket!}, I didn't realize that is subtly incorporated into my decor choices as well {we have similar, but less dramatic chairs in a more neutral color palette as the one in the above photo and we have these sheets embroidered with our monogram}. The above photo I have pinned away for any next decorating adventures and am loving the classic yet funky mix of this bedroom, perfectly accented with, yes stripes.

skinnies {$25} // flats {$425} // top {$298} // heels {$365}

I am loving the mint trend of the moment. As if you didn't already know, I am obsessed with color and have never met a pastel that I didn't like. For Spring, I just had to share some of my current favorites mint pieces. Happy Shopping!

floral fit and flare

dress // jacket {old, similar here} // bangles, from India {similar here} // bag // shoes // sunnies

I recently stumbled upon this dress and fell in love with the cute & price {less than $100!}, but the wild print was waaaaaaay out of my comfort zone. I added it to my closet and was immediately surprised about the ease to wear it. For a recent brunch with friends, I paired it with flats and an old jean jacket. For a night out with drinks, I paired it with my favorite vintage Chanel and a pop of pink in the lips. I am also looking forward to wearing this for Easter/ my dad's birthday weekend in Palm Springs. I figure it will be even cuter with a tan!

mirrored details

So this remodel is taking a little longer than expected {don't they always?} We decided to redo the guest bathroom as well, and with the unexpected extended time, I have had more time to think about the little details. The mirror in place no longer goes with the theme, so I have been inspired by these photos to find the perfect mirror to add a tiny bit of drama, and make all of our guest feel special.

Lovely London

I am VERY excited to have an upcoming trip to London booked! I first feel in love at eighteen and then was lucky enough to visit about every 3 months, even living there one summer but haven't been back in a couple of years. This trip is long overdue! While we will be visiting Lovely London when the weather is a bit warmer, these photos have me beyond excited to visit one of my favorite cities!

As the top half of the dress is just lace, I paired it once with a nude tank and once with a black one {which one do you prefer? need your input please!} Style Etoile has so many fun pieces {obsessed with this dress and this top} that this giveaway is beyond awesome.
