Hey Ya'll! My name is Hannah with Chevron Chic. I am so excited to be guest posting today on Navy & Orange! Special shout out to Hunter for giving me the opportunity!

I'm sticking to the basics with this look today...a black and white state of mind if you will. Rarely will you find me in something that doesn't incorporate either black or white. Aside from green, black and white may be my favorite colors when it comes to my wardrobe....So Versatile!  Nevertheless, the one thing I love most about this color palette is the ability to add pops of color as I have done with my go-to hot pink clutch and new blue Ray-Ban sunnies! Just by adding those two accessories your outfit can go from DRAB to FAB in seconds! Thank goodness for accessories, right?

Thanks so much for stopping by today!!

navy bag moment

As seen here, I am having a navy bag moment. While the name of the blog started as a symbol of things that I love, I really do love the color navy. Classic, ladylike and it truly goes with everything and works in every season. Dare I bring one of these gorgeous finds home? I'm oh so tempted...

Saint Laurent {dare I pick a favorite?}

I'm off!

I am so excited to have my bags packed and ready to head to Paris {to meet my new nephew, my very own Prince George!} and then off to London. I will be back in a couple of weeks but I have some original and great guest posts scheduled and don't forget to follow along on Instagram @navyandorange!

Even though it seems that fall is around the corner, summer is alive and well here in San Diego. I rocked all my pops of color recently for date night. Shop similar lace tops below!

what I'm packing

With our trip, literally around the corner, I have been doing what I like to call a "fashion pull" from my favorite store, my closet. I take over the guest room and makes piles and racks of outfits that will work, incorporating old favorites and new buys {I can't tell you how long I have been eyeing this and it is already laid out to wear on the plane.} Here is some of what has made the cut.

orange decor I adore

Kinda of obsessed with these looks. While I have been repeatively told that orange can be aggressive as a color and in decor, I am mildly bananas about the cozy, happy, comforting feelings that wash over me when I find spaces that have the perfect balance of orange. I just had to add these perfect examples of orange decor I adore to Pinterest.

Hi, my name is Hunter and I'm a J.Crew addict. But seriously, if you were to add a pair of flats to your closet, I cannot recommend these enough. I picked up the camel and navy and have recently ordered the other two colors. They are cuter and more comfortable than my Chanels with a strikingly similar body and are nicer on the wallet {thus the three additions}.

Happy Shopping!

basic for date night

J.Crew top {$85} // J Brand denim {$172} // Hermes cuff // Louboutin pigalle pumps {$625} // similar Celine sunnies {$270} // Chanel lipstick in L'Eclatante {$34}

We have all been there: you are running late and you look into your closet full of fab clothes and yet you have nothing to wear. This happened recently to me for date night and I figured the summer basics {for me, stripes. duh.} with limited accessories and a bold lip was just the perfect outfit for a closet slump. {I have also worn this top with this statement necklace.}

perfect peplum.

peplum, persimmon and Palmero? Perfect.

summer to fall tops

As summer draws to a close, I always get inspired by fall fashion as it is my favorite season for fashion. {Blazers are always cuter than tanks and flip flops}. These tops will easily transition from the end of summer through fall and almost all have recently been marked down. Perfect.

Love everything about this classic photo. It is so much fun to think you have nothing to wear and then get re-inspired to rock a classic white button down with dark skinnies. Love this top for a more feminine option.

summer whites

Happy Friday! I hope that you are rocking your light summer whites, sunnies and sandals. {I wish I was wearing this with these!}

have a great weekend!

pump it up

pointy toe pumps were dubbed "Kappa shoes" in college, as they were always worn by the all the girls in my sorority. Not surprisingly, they have been a constant in my closet ever since, as they go with skinnies and a cocktail dress. The hubby recently bought me these. Can't get enough.
