We just planted some lavender in our front yard and lining the pathway to our

{blue!} front door. The color and smell are beyond and had me thinking of adding this to my closet.

How lovely is this shade of cobalt? Their is something eternally ladylike about a clutch,

and in this color, I think everyone could find an excuse for one!

We are off to have a mini vacation {the first of two planned!} to celebrate the one year anniversary and couldn't be more excited for some poolside chill time and some fancy dinners and dancing!

duckridge farm: the perfect wedding location

Recently, we were lucky enough to be a part of a wedding at the beautiful estate of a family friend held at the amazing Duckridge Farm. As it was a family wedding, I was privy to wedding planning details, but even I was blown away upon our arrival. The grounds reminded my husband and me of our extensive tours of the castles that populate the French countryside that we spent our honeymoon visiting.

We were meet with champagne and caviar and I was summoned to bring the bride champagne. I love weddings and being with the bride before her special moment: I was lucky enough to see her put finishing touches on her hair {styled by my mom}, her dress {Valentino} and her bouquet {white flowers from the garden}. Everything was all perfect!

I loved dancing the night away at the exquisite Duckridge Farm.

the Duchess

As the Jubilee celebrations have come to a close, so has all the speculation of what the Duchess would be wearing. She did not disappoint in the two above frocks, both by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen. The sleeves, the hemlines and the perfect nude shoes are beyond ladylike. Katherine is modern but classic and I love what she is doing for fashion and Royal watchers around the globe:encouraging us all to dress like a lady.
